Itinerary
Day Plan
The first day will consist of a gentle climbing long trail from Aru to Lidderwat covering a distance of 10 kilometers in 6 hours. At an elevation of 9131 feet, the trail to Lidderwat begins to climb straight out of the village, following the course of the Lidder River. Start the trek in Aru to Lidderwat valley where the ascent is steep through fir forest with some Gujjar settlements. Follow the Lidder River's path and walk past the large area of agricultural fencing. From this vantage point, the entire Aru village is clearly visible. Walk through the dense fir forest until you reach Dalla's small clearing. The trail now eases and the steep climb turns into a pleasant walk towards Nandkei; Gujjar settlements can be found throughout the valley. Reach the wooden bridge, with meadows on the other side, and camp anywhere. On the other side, there are lovely clear streams running through the meadows, which is essential if you are camping for the night. Pahalgam District Authority hu
